Amazon Testing New Inventory Storage Service

Amazon is introducing Amazon Storage and Replenishment in Ontario, California with plans to expand the program nationwide. The service allows Amazon sellers to store inventory at additional warehouses near Amazon’s delivery operations, so products can be quickly and easily replenished as needed. The offering keeps Amazon facilities from overcrowding but prevents a potential loss of sales from understocking.

Tight Window Between Holidays Presents Delivery Challenges

Delivery companies are facing a very tight window between holidays this year because Thanksgiving fell at the very end of the month, leaving them only 23 days until Hanukkah and 26 days until Christmas. The last time Thanksgiving was so late in November was 2013, when U.S. consumers were spending half as much on e-commerce as they are today.
