Speed Becoming Increasingly Important to Holiday Shoppers

According to the report Last Mile Delivery Warsnearly 20% of holiday shoppers cited speed as the most important shipping factor in 2019, twice as many as last year. 27% of shoppers said they’re more likely to place an order if it would arrive within a week.

Adidas to Close U.S. and Germany Factories

Adidas announced this week that it would be closing its sneaker factories in the U.S. and Germany and moving production back to Asia. The company said the decision is unrelated to the U.S – China trade disputes, but would result in “better utilization of existing production capacity and more flexibility in product design.”

Convoy Raises $400M Series D

Convoy, a digital on-demand freight network, announced this week that it had raised $400M in their Series D, bringing total funding up to $668M. Chief Product Officer Ziad Ismail said the new funding will support the growth of their programs like Automated Reloads and Convoy Connect, along with other unannounced innovations.
