The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) released its 2019 State of Logistics Report (paywall), authored by A.T. Kearney, in the second quarter of this year, naming STORD as a solutions partner in the landscape of shifting warehouse capacity and demand. According to the report, U.S. industrial warehouse/distribution net absorption is at an all-time high, and the national industry vacancy rate is at an all-time low. Buying and selling excess warehouse capacity has become extremely valuable as a result, and “as the pioneer of the networked distribution model, [STORD] has adapted to the changing demand by enabling customers to stand up new facilities in as little as two days.”
